MUMBAI, September 9, 2010 : Recognizing some of India's highly successful CIOs, CIOL and Dataquest jointly announced the Enterprise Awards 2010 winners in different categories at a ceremony organized at The ITC Grand Maratha, here today.
Instituted by CyberMedia Group companies CIOL and Dataquest in 2004, this annual CIO awards recognize and reward excellence among CIOs of enterprise companies. CIOL partnered with KPMG to help in the process and validation.
There were over 100 entries for this year's awards. The companies considered for the awards had a broad turnover classification of above Rs 1000 crore and below Rs 1000 crore across verticals. Apart from these, individual awards were declared under four categories ' Best Innovator, Best Delivery Execution, Best Operational Excellence and Green IT.
In the below Rs 1000 crore category, ICICI Securities Limited won the Gold CIO Award.
The winners were selected after a rigorous examination process by an eminent panel of judges. The seven member jury felt that innovation and scale of all the projects submitted by the winners for the awards were highly worth a recognition.
The CIO awards reckon excellence of CIOs in enabling their organizations become efficient and competitive. It closely examines the leadership qualities, business-technology understanding, people orientation and performance through pioneering and innovative efforts.
